On September 11, 2001 four United States airplanes were hijacked by al-Qaeda terrorist. Two of which crashed into the twin towers, destroying not only the beautiful buildings themselves but 3,000 United States citizens. Another plane crashed into the side of the Pentagon killing 125 people and the fourth plane, which crashed into a field killing 50 people. All of this was done by a worthless group of devil-like terrorist who should be punished for their actions. The United States should have attacked Iraq after 911 because of how devastating it was for us.
The terrorist group, al-Qaeda started it all. They killed thousands on United States soil. George W. Bush was right for declaring war because of what those worthless cowards did to our country. Undoubtedly the United States made the right decision to have gone to war. We can’t let terror roam our great country, and not do anything about it. These animals made the wrong decision to attack us. Saddam Hussein, the dictator of Iraq was a major threat to the United States who was eliminated because we went to war. “Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship provided headquarters, operating bases, training camps, and other support to terrorist groups…” (CFR, 2005). “…Saddam Hussein and his elite military units were still in power and in possession of huge stockpiles of deadly weapons” (WGBH, 1999). The was put an end to Saddam Hussein’s death, which helped slow down the rate at which attacks were happening and eliminated the risk of nuclear warfare. Think about it, if the United States decided to keep neutral and not send any troops over to Iraq, terrorist would have planned another terrorist attack on us. Sending troops over to Iraq distracted them on developing another attack, which would most likely be worse than 911 knowing how advanced technology has come. Not only did the United States start to control al-Qaeda, we scared off many terrorist organizations with the ending of the war, justifying the war.
Throughout history the United States has been involved in many wars, including the Iraq war. Iraq terrorist signed their own death wish, by attacking our country and killing thousands. But little did they know, we would rise from the horrible situation and fought back.
