Here in HFL our school district is blossoming and becoming one of the best schools in the Rochester area. But that’s not all, there are many other things going on in HFL schools, such as accomplishments, events, and other news that might interest you.
Back at Manor school the 3rd grade students, with the help of Mr. Mashner, are currently putting on a performance of “The Elephant’s Child”. These kids have been working very hard on this show and opening night was Thursday morning here at the middle school! They also have another performance Thursday evening at 7pm. In other news, the 5th graders have just recently completed an Icy Science project! In addition, the second graders got a visit last Friday from the Formula One team at RIT. They had lots of fun learning and experiencing with different cars and ramps. It looks like things have been busy at Manor School.
Here at the Middle school, things have been busy as well. Recently our very own 7th and 8th grade French teacher, Mrs. Stoler went to France and just came back Tuesday evening. There she had many experiences and learned even more about the French culture. She also had many encounters with French people and even visited a French school to talk to them about their school and school in the US. Additionally, this past Friday our MS Women’s Chorus sang the National Anthem at the Amerks’ hockey game, and it as a huge success! Last but not least, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders participated in an expo night where they got to show off their history day projects. Everyone has been working very long and diligently on these projects and it was nice for parents, teachers, students and other people who came, to see their hard work. I’m looking forward to seeing what other events the Middle School has coming up!

Lastly at the High School, lots of things have been going on. Students Melissa Antalek, Isabella Shields, Catherine Robb and Anna Scott were chosen to represent HFL at ROC Regional exhibition at RIT! YAY! Also, on Tuesday the HFL swim team had Senior Recognition at their last home meet for senior swimmers, Jim Chaffer, Shane LaLonde and Charlie Pluta. Finally, this past weekend, there was a senior bash for the class of 2017 at RIT Golden Field House. Many exciting things are happening at the high school!
These events that are going on in HFL schools are helping to enrich HFL students of all ages, and our achievements are what make us one of the top schools in the Rochester area. Our school district of HFL has many accomplishments and events from the past, and ones that are coming in the near future.
