Minimum wage should stay the same because if it was increased people would lose their jobs, companies would lose money, and people would have to pay more for what they are buying. It would be a bad idea to raise the minimum wage and It could be bad for our economy.
If the minimum wage was increased people could lose their jobs. Instead of paying people more, businesses would invest in machines and computers that could do the people’s jobs, some companies, including “Panera” are already doing this. Businesses could lose money and have to fire people, so they would not lose more money. Also, most businesses would not think it would be worth it and might not hire anyone else.
If the minimum wage was increased, companies could lose money and potentially go out of business. Companies would lose more money and would have to charge more money for what they are selling. This could prevent people from buying what they are selling and then they would lose even more money.
Also, if the minimum wage was increased, people would have to pay even more for what they want to buy. Companies would have to charge more for what they are selling because they would have to get more money to pay people. This could cause people to not buy from them and make the company go bankrupt.
It would be a poor decision to raise the minimum wage because it would only benefit a small amount of people and could hurt the company. Also if the minimum wage was increased that would lead to some people being fired and companies losing money. This could potentially lead to a poor economy and many companies going out of business. Even though it would raise the amount of money some people are getting, it would also cause many people to get fired.
