All Americans should have the right to health care because some people have jobs that do not offer it, some people have kids, others cannot afford it, or it is being refused to be given to them for whatever health condition, and some doctors will only treat the patients if they have health care.
The first two reasons all Americans should have the right to health care is because some people do not have a job that provides it, and they might have kids. " This year, 57 percent of employers offer health benefits to at least some of their workers" (Employer Family Health Premiums 2015). Lots of other part time jobs offer health care for their employees, but they need this health care because they might have kids who cannot get the proper medical attention, if needed, without health care.
Another reason all Americans should have the right to health care is because they either cannot afford it, or it is refused to them for current or previous health issues. "52 million adults under 65 – or 27 percent of that population — have pre-existing health conditions that would likely make them uninsurable if they applied for health coverage under medical underwriting practices that existed in most states before insurance regulation changes made by the Affordable Care Act" (An Estimated 52 Million Adults 2016). These people are going to need health care because they cannot then get the proper care they need for their condition.
The final reason all Americans should be entitled to health care is because they cannot always get treated if they do not have health care. Some doctors will treat patients who don’t have health care but many others will not treat them. This is because they will not get reimbursed by the insurance company. This is why some patients, due to previous health issues or current, cannot get treated.
If we give all patients the right to health care, all these will be avoided. Problems like not being able to be treated if you are sick, not being able to give your kids proper treatment and being refused the right to have it due to previous or current health conditions. All Americans should have the right to health care.
